Embed Link Copier

Share links that embed.

One click copies an X, Instagram or TikTok post as a link to an existing embed service (vxTwitter, FxEmbed, fxTikTok…), so Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp & co show the real video or picture. The embeds are theirs.

In Discord, a plain x.com link shows cut text without the picture; the same post copied as a fixvx link shows the full text and the picture
How it works

Buttons right where you share

Each site gets its own buttons, on every post. Pick the format, the link is in your clipboard.

X / Twitter

Chips in the action bar: vx (fixvx), upx (fixupx), vxt (vxtwitter), or x for the clean original link.

TikTok

Chips under Share copy a tnktok, tiktxk or kktiktok link. On the For You feed, the popup grabs the video on screen.

Instagram

A link button next to Share on every post and reel, and kkinstagram in the Share menu, whatever your interface language.

Your services

Add, hide or reorder services per site from the popup, no extension update needed. Extra ones wait in a compact ⋯ menu.

Private by design

No tracking, no analytics, no account. Links are converted in your browser. Privacy policy

Light

Plain JavaScript, three permissions, no remote code.

Open source

Install from GitHub

No store? Load it yourself

The same packages as on the stores, straight from the repository. Store installs update by themselves, these do not.

Chrome, Edge, Brave

Download embed-link-copier-chrome.zip and unzip it. Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.

Firefox

Download embed-link-copier-firefox.zip. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, click Load Temporary Add-on and pick the zip. Firefox removes it when it restarts.

The embeds are made by these projects

This extension does not generate any preview. It only rewrites the link you copy so it points to free embed services built and hosted by others. If you use them a lot, star or sponsor them.

Service status

Which embed services still work

Checked on October 25, 2026 by requesting a public post the way Discord's link preview bot does. Embed services come and go: if one breaks, add another in the popup (short label + domain).
